Movie review: ‘Mother and Child’, a poignant ‘slice of life’ story of rediscovery

This very moving drama centers around three women: A 50-year-old health care professional (Annette Bening), the daughter she gave up for adoption 35 years ago and now a successful lawyer (Naomi Watts), and an African American woman (Kerry Washington) who wants to adopt a child of her own.
