I’m glad to see terms like ‘re-imaging’ or ‘re-telling’ used in promotional campaigns as of late to take the place of the word ‘remake’ which I thoroughly detested from the onset. William Shakespeare wrote Hamlet around 1600 with thousands of performances since. Are those re-makes? They’re re-tellings’, through the eyes of the storyteller presenting each one.

We all know the premise of “Freddy”, established by the 1984 classic, written and directed by Wes Craven, with seven movies to the franchise’s credit.
