Movie Review: ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’, explores middle school angst

This live-action adaptation of Jeff Kinney's illustrated novel centers on a wisecracking junior high school student and his adventures at school as well as his relationship with his family.
Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) relates to us with his voiceover-thoughts, as he is about to start middle school. His mom, who wanted to get him a journal, had to settle for a diary, much to Greg’s dismay. Greg aptly describes his trials and tribulations of school including the morons, bullies, and having to eat his lunch on the cafeteria floor...
