“A Prophet” is a film that is not for the ‘faint of heart’. We experience, first hand, the reality of penal systems and how one is forced into a way of life inside of those walls, and the effect it has on Malik a young Arab man (Tahar Rahim) who is sent to a French prison at 19, and how its effects are transferred to his lifestyle on the outside.
