As a graduate of film school and twenty plus years of movie making, say to me the name Roman Polanski, my response is: ‘He psychologically stir’s emotions by what you don’t see on screen, while creating foreboding situations on screen one would certainly avoid if possible’. My all time Polanski favorite that demonstrates his unique style is 1974’s “Chinatown”, starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, and John Huston, which has an Oscar® along with multiple nominations.
With “The Ghost Writer”, Roman Polanski delivers a story that purport’s an ideal situation that escalates into a nightmare…
