The myths and legends of the Gods, take center stage in this adventure. As a child growing up, the stores of Greek & Roman mythology always fascinated me and I was an avid reader of them. My favorite is Hercules, a hero of superhuman strength and courage who performed twelve tasks or “labors” imposed on him and after his death, was ranked among the gods. And, as a tribute to him, a large cluster of stars in a constellation in the northern hemisphere represents the kneeling figure of Hercules. We’ve often heard the term demigod used. The true meaning refers to the offspring of a god and a mortal human. “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighting Thief” is the story of one of these ‘demigods’…
