“Law Abiding Citizen” is one of those movies that after a few moments in, one realizes that you’re in for the ride of your life! Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler deliver tour-de-force performances as two men whose ideology on the justice system and how it works, are put to the test after an incident that causes each to re-define the extent of justice…
%20Jamie%20Fox%20and%20Gerard%20Butler%20%20Photo%20Credit%20-%20John%20Baer.jpg) Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is a brilliant planner and inventor. One night two robbers invade his Philadelphia home, brutally kill his wife, daughter, and leave him for dead. The killers are caught, and Assistant DA Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) is assigned the case. Nick is ordered by his boss to make a deal with one of the killers to testify against his partner for a 10-year plea bargain prison sentence. Clyde doesn't want the deal made, but its too late, it’s a done deal. One killer gets the death penalty.
10 years later, the second killer is released from prison, and ends up dead. Clyde is arrested and subtly hints that he is the cause. Clyde is put in jail, and he warns that the broken justice system that failed him and his family should be fixed or else anyone connected to his case will die. While being held in jail, Clyde's threats become a reality as the deaths start to mount. It’s a race against time to prevent the next deaths and to figure out how Clyde is orchestrating the events from behind bars with no contact with the outside!
This is a fast paced psychological thriller that once it starts, doesn’t let up until the final scene. “Law Abiding Citizen” is well worth the price of admission!
