 Action/thriller. Actress Milla Jovovich, the star of the “Resident Evil” franchise movies, is my favorite action actress. Her performance in the futuristic thriller “The Fifth Element” (1997) first got my attention, and I’ve watched her mature as an actress and take on more physical roles throughout the years.
The “Resident Evil” movies (“Resident Evil” 2002, “Resident Evil: Apocalypse” 2004, Resident Evil: Extinction” 2007) which have a huge cult following from the popular video game and movie goers as myself who have never played the game but are captivated by the premise. For all of us loyalists, the next installment, “Resident Evil: Afterlife” should be ready by late 2010!
 Milla Jovovich stars in this story of Cliff and Cydney (Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich), an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon, who backpacks to one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in Hawaii. When they come across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, and after joining another couple, things go terribly wrong and paradise becomes a living hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins…
Starring Milla Jovovich, Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant, Kiele Sanchez, Marley Shelton, and Chris Hemsworth.
